Housekeeping

Pants- A.OK; shoes- Target; tee- American Eagle

I've been thinking about this blog lately, and what I want to accomplish with it, and came to the conclusion that I've become rather un-inspired with it. So I'm going to change that.

When I first started blogging, it really didn't have a purpose other than to just be a place for me to ramble on about the things that I love: fashion, music, art, etc. I loved finding new things and sharing them with you all. Perhaps having two jobs plus taking summer classes just wore me out, but I really didn't want to have to think about blogging on top of that these past few months.

So- insert changes here. I want to do more outfit posts. I didn't want this blog to be about that at first, but I love seeing other blogs that feature primarily "what I wore" posts, and I get so inspired by them. Plus it's fun sharing new pieces of clothing that you buy, or an outfit concoction that you are particularly proud of.

But now it's up to you. I want to know what you want in this blog- what should stay, what should go, what should be added. Because it isn't all about me, YOU guys are the ones that read it!

BTW love my new pants from OAK? And shoes? They are hard to see but they are these lovely heeled strappy gladiators from Target of all places. Extremely comfortable =)

EDIT: Please do the poll!

DOUBLE EDIT: I've also started my own blog/shop. Only a few items up right now, but I have many items waiting to be photographed and posted. We're talking about a broke college student here =)

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Independence Day, my American readers. And to my non-American readers I hope you have a lovely Saturday! My beloved OAK is continuing their 304050 sale, but now everything is 50% off! I'm dying to get my hands on this M.O.L. Knits tank, but it's still a bit out of my budget. It's a beautiful cashmere tank with a chiffon overlay, and it's gor-ge-ous!

With a noose she could hang from the sun

And put it out with her dark sunglasses.

It's no surprise that I love OAK's clothing- I love the unique shapes, how almost everything is black and white.  So I was rather excited when they launched A.OK, a much cheaper but just as awesome line of snarky unisex clothing and accessories.  Some of my faves:

How clever.

My favorite swear word, again.

Jean Genie

I have a love/hate relationship with skinny jeans.  I love the way they look but I hate they way they look on me.  My torso is quite long and I have childbearing hips so sometimes I think my legs look short.  The wrong skinny jeans only makes them look shorter, so I try to stick with straight leg styles as opposed to tapered.  I hate shopping for jeans because I prefer a slightly higher rise, which is a rare find in this new era of ass-cleavage.  PLUS my inseam is right in between regular and long- regular is too short, long is too long, so I either have to deal with it or pay to have all of my jeans tailored, which is probably what I should be doing anyway.

Right now my favorites are the AE 77 Straight (which I can now buy with a discount- hellz ya) but these Acne jeans could be a nice alternative if I had $300-some dollars to drop on them.  Which I don't.  This seems to be a never-ending conundrum and a trend in my recent blog posts, but what can ya do?

I like them because they have a looser fit in the hips and thighs, so my newly acquired fat-ass can fit into them comfortably =)

Orange ou noir?

Coco over at Coco's Tea Party recently posted a "would you rather?" survey of sorts on her blog, and one of the questions was all orange or all black for spring?  I originally replied all orange, because I'm constantly wearing black, but after seeing a few of these pieces from OAK NYC, I believe my infatuation is justified.  Despite being all black they are quite loose and breezy, perfect for printemps.

P.S.  OAK's photography is gorgeous, and totally effective.  It makes me want to buy everything!
