Gimme gimme gimme

One day I will own a pair of shiny shiny Louboutins (I swear!) But right now I just don't have the cash to drop on a $700+ pair of shoes. No matter how shiny and delicious they are. I've always coveted a nude peep-toe or classic black pump, but in my "What's New For You" email on Monday arrived these babies. Damn you net-a-porter, damn you! *shakes fist* Now I have my heart set on these peacock blue gems. Even the color, "peacock blue," sounds ever the more inviting that just a blah black.

I do, however, have graduation coming up in December. Hence, graduation PRESENTS. I've already told my mom that (out of necessity) I need a new Macbook because this one is 5 years old and always about to crash. But a pair of Loub's is a tad cheaper than a Mac. Hmmm...

The (former) graphic designer in me flipped over the contrast of the deep blue/bright red combo. Ugh, looking at the back of these shoes... luscious. I could just lick them... okay maybe I just licked the screen...

Would it be too matchy-matchy if I painted my nails in the same color? Although it may just be my monitor but now that I've uploaded this photo these colors really don't match at all. So I guess it would be fine =P

March Madness ~ 3.1 Philip Lim

I think I'm in love.

3.1 Philip Lim sequined silk dress; $895.00

And yes, I'm aware how loosely I use that L-word, but I mean it this time. This 3.1 Philip Lim gem is everything I want out of a summer dress. Pale pink silk skirt, black tulle, hand-placed sequins in a croc-pattern. The colors are gorgeous. And when it comes to sequins and embellishments, nobody does them quite as elegantly as Philip Lim. Ugh, if only I could splurge!

Can you tell I'm ready for summer?

It's a little too late to be making Christmas wish lists... or is it? Regardless, I love all of these items. And they are all reasonably priced. The coral cuff looks so edgy but classy, I love the sandals but can't really decide if I like them better in black or ivory, and who doesn't need a sheer pocket tee? OR a cute lip-gloss locket pin?!

Totally digging (digging? wtf?) this menswear inspired line by French designer Baptiste Viry.  His Fall 2009 collection is sophisticated, elegant, and most of luxurious and wearble.  I love the styling and these photographs as well.  Plus the model is just, hot.

I'm really loving these shoes/booties by Gareth Pugh right now, featured on the runway of his Spring 2009 show.  And if you digg them as much as I do (and have $978.73) you can pick up a pair at Brown's.

I really don't know why I love these shoes so much.  They are really impractical and I haven't the faintest idea what I would wear with them.  Perhaps I can just pull a Mary-Kate and just wear them around my house completely naked.

I wonder if she really still does that...?

I completely adored this collection.  Supposedly the inspiration is "Joan Crawford meets Predator" but I'm picking up on an Alice in Wonderland vibe.  It's more "Queen of Hearts meets the grasshopper" to me.  Whatever, Gareth Pugh is great!

What a total cutie, too.  =)
