Don't mind me, just cruisin' by

By the girl with the balloon.
Good, it looks like we're the only ones around.

Totally digging (digging? wtf?) this menswear inspired line by French designer Baptiste Viry.  His Fall 2009 collection is sophisticated, elegant, and most of luxurious and wearble.  I love the styling and these photographs as well.  Plus the model is just, hot.

The first two vests are my favorites.

The Now Smash of Style

In other words, why American Vogue's fashion editorials are severely lacking in comparison to Vogue Italia.  Get on the ball, Ms. Wintour!!!

I think these photos would look right at home in the Perfect Drug music video.  All it needs is more skulls and absinthe.

Jean Genie

I have a love/hate relationship with skinny jeans.  I love the way they look but I hate they way they look on me.  My torso is quite long and I have childbearing hips so sometimes I think my legs look short.  The wrong skinny jeans only makes them look shorter, so I try to stick with straight leg styles as opposed to tapered.  I hate shopping for jeans because I prefer a slightly higher rise, which is a rare find in this new era of ass-cleavage.  PLUS my inseam is right in between regular and long- regular is too short, long is too long, so I either have to deal with it or pay to have all of my jeans tailored, which is probably what I should be doing anyway.

Right now my favorites are the AE 77 Straight (which I can now buy with a discount- hellz ya) but these Acne jeans could be a nice alternative if I had $300-some dollars to drop on them.  Which I don't.  This seems to be a never-ending conundrum and a trend in my recent blog posts, but what can ya do?

I like them because they have a looser fit in the hips and thighs, so my newly acquired fat-ass can fit into them comfortably =)

Peace, Love, and Sunny Afternoons

Modern art makes me want to rock out!

Sunday was simply a glorious day, so boyfriend and I spent the afternoon outside while he took photos for one of his classes.  He also snapped some shots of me (actually more like 300), some of which will be featured in something... upcoming... which you will hear about at a later date!  But it's something I've been pretty excited about for the past few weeks =)

Anyway, this is the last week of classes, and then finals next week.  EWW.  But then I'll be done... until the fall, and then it starts all over again.  *sigh*  I should be graduating but instead I had to waste 2 years in graphic design so now I'm 2 years behind.

In OTHER news, I took the job at American Eagle.  It just seemed like a better fit for me, and a LOT less of a clusterfuck.  I've never seen or experienced a more disorganized store than the Anthropologie up here in Cleveland.
