First day of summer

Usually when I write these posts, I already have an idea in mind of what I'm going to write about.  A particular garment I've been eyeing, or something posted on Notcouture that I'm dying to share, and then I'll take some lyrics of whatever song is in my head at the moment and make that the title.  Then sometimes, like today, I'm just flipping through the photos I've dragged and dropped onto my desktop during the past week and I can't figure out what I want to focus on so I just upload a bunch of photos into a random, though well-articulated, fashion blogging mess.

I'm blaming it on the weather.  It has just been too gorgeous outside to sit at my computer and blog.  It's my first Monday of summer vacation so I spent most of the day relaxing in a hammock re-reading Harry Potter for the 7293875910th time.  It was summer 2 years ago that I had read the entire series again, because of the release of the 7th book, and now since I have only the movies to look forward to I decided it was time to re-read the series again.  All I'm saying is, the 6th film better be a hell of a lot better than the 5th one.  What a turd, that one was.

So engulfing myself in Harry Potter is only one of my summer goals, the rest of which I will probably blog about later.

I knew a bunch of you lovelies would enjoy this photo of Marc, with his Birkin bag and signature kilt.  He is one of those few people that no matter what he does I adore.  Even if all it is is crouching down to pet a cute puppy.

I prefer men's tees over womens.  I like the looser style, one that isn't so fitted, so that it doesn't show off the ladies.  Plus cap-sleeves are gross, I like longer ones.  And right now I'm really enjoying this slouch-neck tee at UO.  The light blue is perfectly sheer and summery!

Another style I like right now is the slouchy top tucked into a high waisted (preferably floral) skirt.  Again, this skirt is from Urban Outfitters.

No, this isn't a tank tucked into a skirt, but rather a dress.  From Need Supply (♥).  And the only thing I like better than the dress is the model's enviable hair, but alas, I've always been too afraid to try chocolate brown.  Not sure how it would look with my skin tone and I like my blonde.

I saw this posted on Noutcouture about a week ago, and it's one of those bags I can't stop looking at.  Usually I like slouchy bags but there is just something about the structure of this tote by Orla Kiely.  It is part of the environmentally-friendly line, and the leather is natural vegetable tan dyed and they've used chemical free glue.  Although I'm not sure how leather screams "eco-concious" but whatever.  Plus the colors this bag comes in are great.

  16. oooh harry potter! I'm expecting the 6th to be a whole lot better as the 5th one was so bad that i've only ever gotten half way through before falling asleep. regardless, even though the writing itself isn't spectacular, the books are absolutely brilliant.
