Balenciaga gorilla arms... We have found your feet.

They were hiding at the Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 show!

I absolutely love this line.  I love the NYC Ballet meets hobo chic meets Pippi Longstocking; so appropriate for fall.  The black one-shouldered satin dress is my favorite.  And the tights are fabulous, especially the patchwork-looking ones!

As for the boys, anyone else reminded of Robert Pattinson in The Bad Mother's Handbook?  The shoes especially, although you cannot see them in any of these photos.  Bummer.

This is why we heart Marc =)

Three Words

So I'm pretty excited for tonight because, instead of going to see Friday the 13th like I'm sure a lot of people, sister and I are going to see TWILIGHT.  It's going to be fun because it's what Kent State's rec center refers to as a "Dive-In Movie"- the film is going to be projected above the pool and we will all be floating around in tubes and rafts as opposed to uncomfortable cinema seats.  Sounds exciting... right?  Or lame?

Moving on.  Those Hefty trash bag commercials are hilarious and always get stuck in my head (you know the ones; the "HEFTY HEFTY HEFTY!  wimpy wimpy wimpy!)  Anyway, it inspired this post.  Just when you thought I was a complete crackhead.

Ray Bans, OMG

This post is dedicated to Ashley because 1) I know how much she loves RPattz, and 2) I know how much she loves RPattz in Ray Bans.

When it comes to this classic eyewear, though, I prefer Bob Dylan.

Aaannnd since I now enjoy making these collage thingers, I made one dedicated to the ever-famous eye apparel, that never seem go out of style.  In fact, it seems like the trend is stronger than ever (thanks, in large part, to the Olsens).

(Again).

I like the bright reds and whites seen on Mary-Kate and Sienna Miller, as well as the classic black ones, but I think if I were to ever indulge in a pair of these I'd go for the tortoise print!

The many faces and phrases of Robert Pattinson

Silly post time!  Okay so I've sorta been a fan of RPattz since Harry Potter, and I really cannot WAIT to see Little Ashes, but lately I have been on the Robert-Pattinson-Is-A-Total-Cutie bandwagon.  And no, not because of Twilight, not because of Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, or Robert Pattinson as Cedric Diggory, or Robert Pattinson as Salvador Dalí, but Robert Pattinson as

Robert Pattinson.

So, on days that I'm bored (usually every day at work) I like to go on IMDB and look up random movies and celebs, but yesterday I was on his message board and there was an entire thread dedicated to quotes of his.  I sent a few of these to my friend but I felt the need to share them with the rest of the world:

MTV: "By now, we've all seen these clips of you fighting Cam Gigandet, who is such a bad-ass in 'Never Back Down.'  Did he try all those mixed martial-arts moves against you?"

Robert: "I kicked his ass, because I don't hold back.  I fight like a little bitch.  I'd bite and pull his pants down and stuff."

"The more Bella says 'I'm not scared of you, you're not a monster' the more I [as Edward] believe it.  I kind of forget that I am a vampire and what my actual instincts are.  I try and kiss her and it ends up being a nightmare.  She has a sort of hormonal rush and I have the 'I want to kill you' rush.  It ends up being quite sexy, in a weird way.  You're at a point where you want to do everything and kill them, at the same time.  It's the peak."

Interviewer: "How do you approach the kissing scenes?"

Robert: "I approach them from the front."

I: "And is there any tongue?"

R:  "Oh I always try to slip in some tongue."

"I don't even have a hair chest! It's like early pubes."

Larry: "What would you do if you were president?"

Robert: "Nothing!  I'd walk around saying 'Kiss my ass!'"

"The dancing at the Yule Ball.  They said 'Just dance how you would normally' like there was this rock band or something.  They'd film us really close up.  I had to dance with Cho Chang played by Katie and had no idea what to do.  I was like, am I supposed to be grinding? [laughs] She was really good, but I think she does dancing lessons.  I felt like such an idiot.  I kept on saying 'Can I just sit on the side? PLEASE!'"

"I have 12 year old virgins lick it..." <--- haha, don't worry he was talking about his hair!

Robert (to Rachelle LeFevre): "I thought you were saying sea lion... wow, I really didn't see that, that's really subtle..."  <-- So he and Rachelle, the girl who plays Victoria in Twilight, were being interviewed together, and she was talking about how she tried to incorporate FELINE qualities into her character, and he thought she was saying "SEA-LION!"  Oh Rob... you crackhead.

"Little girls saying, 'I want to have your babies!'  And it's like, 'You don't. Seriously. I don't even want to have my babies.'"

"I'm really afraid of getting hit by cars, like terrified of crossing streets.  I'm also very accident prone... I think people aim for me."  <-- He also said somewhere that he is afraid of someone coming up behind him and stabbing him with a needle infected with the AIDS virus...? How random.

"I've got a terrible memory- I end up repeating myself quite a lot.  The only thing I remember is that I'm going to repeat myself!"

"Eww... And then you call it a garden burger? Like, oh, I just found this in the garden..."

Pattinson: "That was a really good answer.  How come I can never answer questions like that?"

LeFevre: "My dad's an English teacher and my mother's a psychologist."

Pattinson: "...My dad makes German techno music."

"I read the Variety review and their only comment was 'rangy.'  I thought it meant from the range, like a cowboy.  But it just means tall and lanky."

"When you read the book... it's like 'Edward Cullen was so beautiful I creamed myself.'  He's the most ridiculous person who's so amazing at everything.  I think a lot of actors tried to play that aspect.  I just couldn't do that.  And the more I read the script the more I hated this guy, so that's how I played him, as a manic-depressive who hates himself.  Plus, he's a 108 year-old virgin, so he's obviously got some issues there."

"IT'S NOT EVEN FUCKING RAINING!"  <-- SO, apparently on the set of Twilight, an assistant ran up to him with an umbrella when it was not really raining, and according to an extra or something on set said that Rob yelled this loud enough for everyone to hear.  Outburst of the week, I guess.

Oh Blake... why...?  I've never understood why she is such a *style icon* these days.  She tries but never looks effortlessly pulled-together, which is surprising especially when she has such a killer wardrobe on Gossip Girl.  Either she has really bad taste or needs to fire her stylist ASAP.  I like plunging necklines, but only when they are done correctly... o_O

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!! I HAD to put this on here, if anyone can rock the hobo-chic, it's Robert.  I applaud this look, lol.  I mean, this is so typical of him, but really, there had to have been a better picture to post than this...

Natasha Poly, what a stunning girl.  This was my favorite dress of the night.  I saw this look a lot at this event; the short printed dress over the black tights and shoes; and I must say it is very enjoyable. *makes mental note to try this over winter break*
